Dr. Bei Zhang

Bei Zhang O.D. graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry in 2005.

She’s been a full-time optometrist at Eyexam of CA at LensCrafters since 2005 and later became the subleasing optometrist at both Pleasanton and Newark LensCrafters.

Dr. Zhang is a strong advocate for annual eye exam including Optomap and she specializes in CL fitting, especially for presbyopic patients.

Dr. Zhang has been certified to fit Scleral lens for irregular corneas, CRT and MiSight lens for myopia control.

Prior to her Optometry training, Dr. Zhang received her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Medicine and two years of residency training in Ophthalmology in China. She received her Master’s degree in Vision Science from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 2001.

Dr. Zhang is the Membership Director for CA LensCrafters Subleasing Group since 2018, supporting fellow subleasing optometrists.

Dr. Zhang is a local resident at Fremont since 2001. During her leisure time, Dr. Zhang enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Arshjot Hira, O.D.

Dr. Arshjot Hira is originally from the Bay Area. She received her Bachelor in Cell and Molecular Biology from Cal State East Bay and then went on to pursue her Doctor of Optometry degree from Massachusetts, College of Optometry, Boston. Dr. Hira enjoys taking care of patients of all ages with special interest in dry eyes and myopia control in children through Misight Contact lens. Her favorite part of being an Optometrist is helping patients see the best to their abilities.

Dr Hira is an active member of California Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. In her free time, she loves dancing, walking, hiking, and learning about different cultures.

Ashley Tang, O.D.

Dr. Tang received her doctorate in 2013 from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Her clinical rotation included serving Native Americans at the Indian Health Service Hospital in Sante Fe, NM, serving veterans at the White River Junction Veterans Affairs Hospital (VA) in Vermont, and various communities in Boston, including children with special needs. She attended The University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ for her undergraduate degree in Physiology. Dr. Tang was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and moved in 2013 to the Bay Area where her husband grew up. She enjoys traveling, eating unique foods, and watching/playing basketball in her spare time.

Melissa Li

A Bay Area native, Dr. Li graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. She received her Optometry doctorate from UC Berkeley’s School of Optometry and completed her clinical rotations at Crow Indian Health Services Hospital, South Oregon Verterans Affairs Hospital, Novato community clinic, and West Oakland community clinic. In her free time, Dr. Li enjoys cooking, exploring local eateries, and traveling to Tahoe for ski season.

Dr Elizabeth Gove

Originally from Southern California, Dr. Elizabeth Gove found her home in the Bay Area after completing her undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology and Economics as well as optometry school at U.C. Berkeley. During her time at Berkeley Optometry, Dr. Gove was an esteemed member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Dr. Gove completed her clinicals serving a wide diversity of patients at Front Range Eye Associates, a private practice in Broomfield, CO, as well as veterans and active-duty military at the Central Valley VA in Fresno, CA and at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. In her free time, she enjoys baking macarons and exploring new places with her camera.
